Tarangvati
Tussar silk saree (Ghicha silk)
Description
Tarangvati, derived from Tarang meaning waves and Vati meaning one who possesses, translates to the one filled with waves. Handcrafted in raw silk, it mesmerizes with an aqua blue and earthy orange palette, reminiscent of waves meeting the shoreline. The pallu and body are adorned with intricate Madhubani artistry, featuring framed depictions of divine figures, floral vines, and temple arches that narrate stories from Mithila’s cultural heritage.
Tarangvati embodies movement and grace, a saree that flows like the waves of the ocean while carrying the legacy of Bhagalpur’s weaving mastery and the intricate storytelling of Madhubani.
